About Mauritius News
Mauritius News is a paper that has been providing a unity among UK Mauritians of all ethnic backgrounds, Christians, Muslims, Hindus (Marathis, Telegus, Tamils etc), Chinese that make up the Mauritian nation.
We have been providing the Mauritian community with an identity in the UK for the past 25 year, established in 1983. The paper makes us proud to be from Mauritius, the island home of our fathers, the most beautiful island under the sun.
We all have busy lives and find it very difficult to stay up to date with what is happening back home as well as keeping up with day to day news in the country we choose to settle in.This is where Mauritius News comes in. For a quick briefing on what's happening in Mauritius and Mauritians around the worlds, Mauritius News has been there for you and continues to provide the missing link for you.
Mauritius News is also the quickest and easiest reference for Mauritian events, hot properties for sale or rent in Mauritius and for air travel agencies. This is why our monthly newspaper is never disposed of by our readers, until the next edition is released. For quick and easy referral to many advertisers in the paper, Mauritius News has a purpose to be present in every Mauritian's home all the time.
As a well established newspaper, We have also been giving young UK Mauritians the opportunity to obtain work experience in administrative practice, and have been giving training in journalism to many young university students.
Our Fight:
Mauritius News defends our right to the Mauritian nationality in spite of the fact of what the Mauritius Government may say. This is our right and this is the right of our children as laid down in the laws of Mauritius. The Government of Mauritius cannot deny our children their fundamental right. It is extremely important that the right of our children to Mauritian nationality be recognised especially if there is property in Mauritius, however small, for them to inherit from their grandparents and us. Other people can, by prescription, steal our property if there is no one to prove ownership. We have read in the press that even Ministers in Mauritius dispose of lands, which do not belong to them. Neighbours can use our properties because we are absent. When we pass away the situation will become worse.
Mauritius News creates the great network among Mauritians and their children in all other countries. We are a special nation. We enjoy many things in common.
We are a proud nation. Stand up and be counted. Join Mauritius News today to have a voice in your beloved country. You may not live in Mauritius, but your contributions away from home, have helped make our country what it is today. Mauritius News is your voice, so join us today.
A small subscription fee of £15 (UK) per year is not a lot to ask to have Mauritius News delivered to your door every month. The fee covers the postage and packaging and the paper itself.
